Looking to pick up some of the latest codicies for armies I dont actually own - Chaos/Nurgle/Admech etc.
Are these worth picking up from a purely fluff point of view? Have they updated any of the fluff with the new setting or is it mostly a rehash of older fluff? A mix of both?

Would you recommend buying them just for the fluff?

The IG one actually has a surprising amount of new lore, but it's not really more than 10-15 pages worth total. If I were you I'd just pick up one in a store and skim over it or inevitably wait for it to get pasted word for word on something like Lexicanum. It's a good codex, but not worth $40 if you're just going to read the background.

IG's new stuff for example went more into regiment logistics and explained what everyone had been up to since the rift, along with inspiration for a ton of different "homebrew" regiments to give you ideas for conversions. Nothing game changing, but it was nice to not read the same plot synopsis I had read 3 times in a row for the last few codexes.

AdMech is basically a copy paste. I'd go as far as to say it's the book they put least effort in to so far. Even while it was released it was basically just thrown in as a filler that wouldn't take attention away from all the DG updates.

Not complaining about the book as such, I quite like it, ruleswise. Just stating the facts.
