Ok, so i assume what you said compare with my example. That means if I roll charge roll of 4, since the rest of his unit reach the enemy unit and now within 1"
If so, the one far behind (6" away) can still charge 4" and will be 2" away from enemy unit. And does that mean despite being 2" away from enemy model, he can still pile in 3" and will be close to enemy model thus can fight?
Because your models are charging, it doesn't matter if they are within 1" of the enemy or not. If some other unit activates first and COMPLETELY OBLITERATES the unit they are within 1" of then you STILL GET
TO ACTIVATE and pile in because you charged with them that turn.
Pile in activations are for models within 1" of an enemy AND units that charged. So you will always be allowed to pile in as long as you successfully charged.
