I was wondering what combi-weapon would you guys give your rhino's?
I'm playing Death Guard at the moment and I'm using two rhino's. One with CC Plague marines and one with 2 squads of 5 PM with plasmaguns.
I was wondering what weapons to put on the rhino's.

Do you want more mobility? then choose melta or flamer cause it's assult weapons so you can advance and still fire them.

Does your army have a harder time dealing with tough infantry like terminators or do you struggle more against tanks and monsters? Maybe you need anti horde? Can you live with the unrealiable nature of meltas? as it is a hit or miss weapon that often only gets to fire once.
I don't think one weapon was meant to be straight up better than the other, instead they are usefull for different purposes. Personally I would probably choose combi flamers if that is an option, as it never suffers from degrading ballistic skill, and it's good at overwatch.

Brutal, but kunning!

I was also gonna say combi-bolter. Can take 2 of 'em, so 8 shots at rapid-fire range is almost equivalent to a MSU marine squad popping off bolters. Cheap, not bad. I leave the stronger shooting to other units, though the combi-melta has contributed some wounds here and there.

Typically I do Combi-bolter, but if you are set on one of the specials I would do either flamer or melta depending on points and what the rest of the army has. I have done a couple games with the meltas though, and they haven't really done a whole lot.

Dual combi-bolters is what I have been running. Cheap and put out a good number of shots. I've had some success running rhino's but keep them cheap. High end weapons just inflate their points cost too much for too little.

Definitely not combi-plasma. If you overcharge it and roll a one, bye bye rhino!

I just double checked that in my book because I thought "surely you can't be serious", but you're right - it's only the Helbrute Plasma Cannon that specifies a single mortal wound. Strikes me as an oversight, and if it happened to someone I was playing against, I'd just tell them to take a mortal wound, but RAW, wow! Combi-plasma a big nono!

Haha, no doubt. I feel like it should be a mortal wound (or D3) instead of killing outright (at least for vehicles).

2 Combibolters are quite nice and very cheap. It's good to keep the Rhinos cheap, as they will draw fire at the beginning and usually not survive long.
That being said, I also like to use Havoc launchers, they are bad ass, but admittedly they haven't done a lot so far .

Lol agreed! Same with loyalist loadout, I always take 2 storm bolters / combi bolters and a hkm/havoc launcher. Hkm never do anything though, I ALWAYS miss. It's become a joke, I am lighting off fireworks during the battle to see if I can distract someone. . .
