I notice according to Codex, Guards can have multiple regiments in same army detachment and still get doctrine/tactic bonus. I also notice Space Marines cannot do that.

What about Craftworld?

What does the codex say?

It's all wild speculation until the codex drops. There are also other big potential issues such as does Ynarri or dark eldar in the army negate a craft world bonus. This is all news and rumors material until the codex drops.

Chaos isn’t a pit. Chaos is a ladder. Many who try to climb it fail, and never get to try again. The fall breaks them. And some are given a chance to climb, but refuse. They cling to the realm, or love, or the gods…illusions. Only the ladder is real. The climb is all there is, but they’ll never know this. Not until it’s too late.

SM, SCM and IG all apply Traits on a Detachment basis. This means it should be possible to take a 2 detachments with different traits. You can even take a third Ynnari detachment and swap Battle Focus for Strength from Death and still keep the Craftworld Traits.

As long as they're in separate detachments you should be fine.

Guard can only do this in the case of MILITARUM TEMPESTUS, and this is a special regiment. Also the Scions themselves don't get a doctrine if they're in a detachment with a different regiment.

There are also some ASTRA MILITARUM units which lack <REGIMENT> which can be included in a detachment without causing <REGIMENT> units in that detachment to lose their doctrine. Eldar will presumably do something similar for Phoenix Lords and possibly also the Ynnari HQs.

It will almost certainly not be possible to bring Ulthwe and Iyanden units together in the same detachment and have either one get an Attribute.

Yes, you cannot mix them within a Detachment. However you can have an Ulthwe Detachment and an Iyanden Detachment in the same army.

I thought Ynnari worked on a detachment basis, too. So unless the Ynnari rules end up having an exception...

No Ynnari don't work on detachments as they don't have enough models. If you warlord is Ynnari, then the other Eldar in your army gain Strength from Death but lose Battle Focus/Powrer from Pain/Rising Crescendo. They don't lose their <Craftworld> attribute though.

They will lose their <Craftworld> attribute if there is a non-Craftworld model in their Detachment. Simplest solution is to put your Ynnari characters in a separate small detachment (Patrol if you just want 1 or 2, Supreme Command if you want all 3). That way you get the best of both worlds.

Be prepared for the worst. GW is in the habit of releasing an army at it's peak of power and then slightly rolling them back. GW may make or FAQ Ynarri replaces the craft world key word.

This is assuming the Ynnari rules that get packaged in the reboxed triumvirate don't require that all units change their keywords and loose access to craftworld abilities. We won't have any idea until someone gets the new box and posts the rules.

These are my opinions. This is how I feel. Others may feel differently. This needs to be stated for some reason.

One person who has seen the new Codex says there is a rule that if a model in a detachment gains the Ynnari keyword then the detachment loses its Craftworld Trait. This is disappointing but not entirely unreasonable. SfD is so much stronger than Battle Focus that no one was running pure Craftworld Eladr with the Index (at least not competitively). If you could stack traits with SFD then the same problem would remain.

Now there is a legitimate choice between Craftworld Traits or Ynnari with both looking viable.

Indeed, this is the major principle when list building.
As long as you have different Craftworlds in different detachments, the units will benefit from the CW bonuses.

Ynnari with SfD and without stratagems, warlord traits or relics vs CWE with stratagems, Craftworld traits, Battle Focus, warlord traits and relics. More than legitimate choice it looks like heavily leaning towards CWE.
But even better would be to combine best of both worlds: the righ mechanism apepars to be to have a Ynnari detachment and a pure CWE detachment (you arenot force to give the Ynnari keyword to every unit in a Revenant army). Put the units you want to bennefit from SfD in the Ynnari detachment, the units which bennefit the least from SfD (or which need a CW trait) in the CWE detachment and get acess to the nice CW stratagems for everyone. Right now this is 100% legal with the shown rules. Only if the Triumvirate pamphlet or a FAQ (or Chapter Approved later this year) says otherwise this would be invalidated.
