So I think this is a Batallion + a vanguard or something.. Either way, it should easily fit something.

I dont have any DEldar atm, but like to do some theory crafting/list work before i just start buying "any old models".

What This list is attempting to represent or be, is a "unknown opponent and mission list"

The basic stratagey or thinking Is, at deployment, each tantulus has a unit of warriors, incubi, and archon embarked.

on my first turn, I can Move + advance out to 32" or something. Each Tantulus provides Assault 6 str 8 shots I believe, Turn 2 I can disembark as needed, reavers provide a "little" tar pit

So thoughts on this idea/ my line of thinking/etc?

++ Unbound Army (Faction) (Aeldari - Drukhari) [106 PL, 2007pts] ++
+ HQ +

Archon [4 PL, 76pts]: Blaster, Phantasm Grenade Launcher, Power sword x 3

+ Troops +

Kabalite Warriors [5 PL, 105pts] x 3
. 7x Kabalite Warrior
. Kabalite warrior with Heavy Weapon: Dark Lance
. Kabalite Warrior with special weapon: Blaster
. Sybarite: Splinter Rifle

+ Elites +

Incubi [5 PL, 90pts] x 3
. 4x Incubi
. Klaivex: Klaive

+ Fast Attack +

Reavers [10 PL, 144pts]: Cluster caltrops
. Arena Champion: Agoniser
. 2x Reaver
. Reaver with special weapon (up to 1 for 3 models): Blaster

+ Heavy Support +
Tantalus [18 PL, 350pts] x 3

Honestly, in trying to go for "jack of all trades" you wound up with a list that doesn't really do anything well at all. too many points in the Tantaluses... Tantali? Whatever.

You don't have enough Lances to threaten anything. The ones you do have are on Kabalites which hit on 4s if the transport moves.
Incubi in groups of 5 don't have a lot of punch, go for squads of 10.
Go for the Agoniser on the Archons instead, the Power Sword is tempting but it's still S3 so no bueno.
Reavers are honestly dogshit. Skip them.
You also can't hide a Tantalus, meaning an opponent with a few Lascannons will delete or at least significantly wound one per turn.

Honestly no more than one Tantalus if you must run them. And if you do run them, go for the Blaster party bus - 3x5 Trueborn with 4 Blasters per squad, then an Archon with a Blaster.

Hey there,

first: this is an unbound list (most of the times you want a battle-forged list outside of narrative fun games) and you got 2007 points in there (so 7 more points than you should have).

Now my two cents:

I agree in nearly every point that Chippen mentioned, but I don't think Reavers are in every situation bad, but for a tarpit they are really pricy. You could go for Wyches of 10 in Raiders for a tarpit. Just don't charge anything with an auto hitting weapon. Trust me .

Furthermore you could swap the Cluster Caltrops for Grav-talons. Most of the time you will charge, but a fallback move will always have a lower count than your charges.

Another thing is, that the DL can't shoot at all, if the Tantalus advances. Also the rifles on the Warriors can't. If you want more anti tank, then go for Ravager (anti tank only) or Razorwing Jetfighter (mix between anti tank and anti infantry).

I would also go for the Blaster party bus that Chipper mentioned (if you want to field a Tantalus at all). It makes a really valid Vanguard Detachment. If you really want to field Incubi, then maybe go for 9x + 10x in Raiders with DL and Drazar (he is a valid HQ choice and buffs the Incubi in the first 2 turns really well). I would drop the Agonizer on the Arena Champion (he is already hitting at S4, AP -1 and that should be a 4+ to wound in most of the situations) and use them as a distraction carnifex. For anti tank I would field Ravager or Reaper (if you already go for FW why not more ). After that I would fill up the rest with Blaster Warriors in Venoms (for your anti horde dakka).

Indeed and indeed, but when i list build, I start with the units I want, and work it down into battleforged.... cuz just how i roll.. I may have to try a narrative fun game sometime..
Yes, 2007 points, can also can easily tweak that being off by seven isnt like being off by 300.

as per the rest, I do sincerely thank you for your input and welcome more.
