There is a decided lack of the Valhallan lists on here and I hope to fix this list! I wanted to make unmovable blocks of infantry armed for bear and if the FAQ sheds light on it, prime to be recycled when needed for "Send in the Next Wave" also there needs to be plenty of vehicles to take advantage of the awesomely underrated non-degradation of Valhallan vehicles. This List is designed to maximize firepower to boots on the ground with no elements suffering from morale with plenty of anti tank and support. Im just debating whether or not to replace the LRBTs with punishers or go all in on anti tank. Also with plenty of orders to go around I have no problem with throwing my own men into an enemy squad to tie it up and then shoot the crap out of them.

Brigade (Valhallan)

HQ:
Company Commander Kurovs Aquila

Elites:
Command Squad (Sniper x4) x2 (possibly replace with 2 Platoon Commanders)
Commissar (Boltgun) x2

Fast Attack:
Hellhound + Storm bolter x 3

Heavy Support:
LRBT HBs x2
Manticore
Wyvern

Battalion (Valhallan)

Company Commander (Warlord, Grand Strategist)
Company Commander

Love it! I've been thinking about doing a valhallan list myself - I'll lift this ;-)

Tactically don't forget to push forward in droves with your conscripts to give you a good chance of recycling them - in general, suicide assaults all round!

Run a whole lot of wfrp and other rpg's, play The Woods and Kill Team, gather and look mournfully at imperial guard knowing I'll never finish enough to use them on the tabletop

Sadly with the FAQ there will be no recycling of conscripts for me. The restrictions on placement are too much for me to gamble and hope that there isn't a deep striker in my lines preventing the unit from deploying correctly.

With ~130 infantry models on the table, it'll be pretty hard for your opponent to get anything deep struck into your deployment zone - and so long as you press forward, you'll have room at the back to bring your guys in. (just don't leave more than 8" uncovered)

Maybe you're right, but I'm going to give it a go.

EDIT: I'm not sure I understand reinforcement points correctly, but is it basically saying that this strategem is useless? You have to pay the points in advance to bring a unit back, therefore you're basically just buying the unit and putting it in reserve?
That seems so stupid to me, to release a codex with stratagems and immediately invalidate them...

If it was any table edge I think it would be useful, but as it stands 6" from your zone and 9" from an enemy and only if a squad dies seems to be more restrictive than its worth, then again it could see some use for some suicidal veterans with plasma or conscripts, but then again i've never been big on reserves
