So,
I finally got to try greenstuff, I needed to make a nurgly chaos rhino and a chaos lord. I like the fugaris helm relic, so had to choose between DV lord and the DV chosen holding the helm.

Now that I've seen those pics on the screen, have to say camera isn't very gentle on those, but well first time is first time. I still got time to alter the models a bit, what do you guys think? My regular WH40k opponent thinks that the lord's sword arm is displaced and not in a natural position, I think his shielding it's right flank.. I tried to hide the beast hide with some disease and gave some DP and DG bitz in as well. Will mount in on a 40mm base. Tomorrow is time for priming unless I alter things a bit, I've been wanting to do the lord with a combi-plasma, but decided not to kitbash it, yet atleast.

About the rhino, nurgly enough? Again the camera is harsh on all those warts and bostules, but I hope they end up fine after some paint. Everyone can see that the rhino is made from a SM version, atleast the "combi-bolter" which is a storm bolter, but would you find ever anyone you are playing against that you can't play with that, because it's not a combi, it's a storm bolter. Don't have any nice blades to attach underneath the barrels and the skull of the icon is also in the way.

Btw, got any easy rust effect tips for me? I yet have rusted my other DG unit weapons and there's a lot of metal parts in that rhino.

I can post some more WiP pictures if someone is really interested, after all web is full of WiP's already

Anyways, thanks for comments of the arm displacement vs. naturality etc..

Here's some quick shots:

(Pics are in high quality in my gallery, don't know your browsers automatically fits pics on the screen, so don't want to make this too spammy.)

OK,
some paint has been added to these above minis, but I have a next problem.

1. What do you think of the pestilence and rot on the rhino. Is the contrast too big? I'm having hard to deciding, should I make the rest (white areas) with the same technique or reduce amount of color.

2. Used the same technique on the cape of the chaos lord, there's two places I'm not happy with. First the balesword, isn't much.. lil' green glow doesn't save it either, so got any suggestions on the color scheme or how to proceed with the sword, I have no clue what a balesword should look like.

3. The lil' flying thing on the shoulder of the chaos lord, I've tried few different colours and they are all awful, any ideas what kinda of colors would complement the rest of the model?

Added some already processed DG models from my collection to give you a grasp of my scheme I've been building so far. Poxes are quick made and maybe need some synergy with the pestilence on the rhino afterwards, but man painting 40 poxes is... pain. Those bases are very plain, but they are made from the matching color, tufft and sand as my gaming table so they blend in well with it.

So some suggestions and feedback whatever is most welcome, I'll throw more WiP long the way if someone show's interest in this threat. Sorry about the camera lightning, I'm still learning..

Your work looks good. I do a lot of green stuff work on Nurgle in my own blog. Check it out if your interested. I do feel that there is a strong contrast the way you painted stuff, but it’s all personal taste in the end. Do what feels right.

Also, the bale sword looks great. I don’t see any need to have it bright neon green or something. After all. Disease comes from rotten dirty things. You did a nice job on the sword.
