I'm looking for inspirational music for a Shadowrun game. Based upon what I've seen elsewhere, I feel like it's a pretty eclectic category, so I wanted to see what dakka could contribute.

I'll start with something pretty easy:

From the 1998 computer game Hardwar I give you LFO - tied up and Black Dog - chase the Manhattan (in fact check out the whole soundtrack for that game, it's got a damn good feel to it).

just go digging for Synthwave / Retrowave / Futuresynth, stuff like Timecop 1983 or VHS Dreams are very 80's so would fit nicely, also Soma FM may have some suitable tracks, assorted Anime soundtracks or going back to the actual 80's maybe Jarre or Future Sound of London

Cyberpunk community soundtrack might also be a place to look.

Lots of moody, atmospheric electronica to be found there.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.

The soundtrack from Invisible, Inc is really, really good (the game#s great as well). Here's a playlist on youtube:

That's of particular note to me as it's in free mp3 format. I pulled it down pretty excitedly just now and gave it a listen. Honestly, a lot of it really isn't doing it for me, which is expected, but there's some really good gems tucked in there too.

I bet I can make a solid playlist of hits between all six albums.
