I have a small press and make plastic bases. I make thin bases, solid with a small lip around the edge. In the past I did not see the need to make bases in the style of the old fantasy battle bases, as there are literally tons of them floating around from years of GW plastic products.

But with AOS shipping round bases, I am pondering producing a series of hollow bases with very similar proportions in case people want to base new troops for old games. And have a close match in bases.

Any thoughts on this? These would be cheap, like all my other stuff.

The usual 20, 25, and 40mm square and 25X50mm rectangle for starters.

Personally, I can see this being something people swing for. There's a bit of a market

www.classichammer.com

For 4-6th WFB, 2-5th 40k, and similar timeframe gaming

Looking for dice from the new AOS boxed set and Dark Imperium on the cheap. Let me know if you can help.

what AoS gamers need are unit bases for round based models.

I have seen them turning up every now and then. There could well be a market for more.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

While I don't have any need for bases right now, if they're relatively cheap I'd put in an order for some just to build up my supply. It's painful when you pay $55AUD for a regiment and then have to spend another $14-21AUD to get square bases for them.

So we'd be looking at about 10 cents per base for the 20's and 25's and about 30 cents per base for the 40's? That sounds alright to me.

If/when they rebox Empire with rounds I could certainly use some of these bases.

Thought for the day: Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment.
30k Ultramarines: 2000 pts
Bolt Action Germans: ~1200 pts
AOS Stormcast: Just starting.
The Empire : ~60-70 models.
1500 pts
