A warm hello to everyone here at Dakka,
My classmates and I are looking to find out more about the habits of video game and board game fanatics. Our goal with this assignment is to observe how those two, often compared but deeply different forms of entertainment actually cross-pollinate when it comes to their using habits.
We came up with a short but complete survey that will help us complete this analysis. Thank you for taking your time to fill it up to the best of your knowledge. We will come back and share our findings right here on Dakka as soon as we are done.
We want to thank everyone who will take the time to fill the survey out in advance and we hope that you will find our conclusions interesting or that they will at least generate discussions amongst us fans.

If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the particulate. |

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.
It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion. By the juice of the brew my thoughts aquire speed, my mind becomes strained, the strain becomes a warning. It is by tea alone I set my mind in motion. |

I suppose my reply comes in a bit late, but I have a number of thoughts:
"How many board games do you own?"
The maximum number at 16+ seems really low. Most people I know with a serious interest in board games own at least 20. I've lost count of my own collection, but I suspect I own more than 50 board games. Some people I know, own hundreds. I don't see the point in differentiate between "1-3", "4-6", and so on as those numbers are too low to be meaningful, it would be more sensible if the choices were between 0, 10 or less, 15 or less, 20 or less, 30 or less and I've lost count but it's at least 30.
"How early ahead do you usually prepare your board game session?"
This question does not take into account whether you're a member of a club which meets regularly, like once a week, unless I've misunderstood the question. There ought to be a question related to club-activities as well.
How do you usually discover board games? (Check all that apply)
Kickstarter and Boardgamegeek should have been choices here. Boardgamegeek has been my primary source for more than 15 years.
How do you usually purchase your board games? (Check all that apply)
Again, Kickstarter should be on this list, as well as the second-hand market and print-and-play, which are big.
