So, with the axing of most of the Old World named characters, a lot of our older, fun models have gone down the drain or been nerfed into irrelevance. However, I noticed that Greasus Goldtooth, or the Overtyrant as he's now referred to, has been buffed rather nicely. Before, his command ability was basically useless in any form of competitive play, since opponents could just refuse your "Bribes". Now however, he has a newer, more viable ability that allows him to, three times in a game, debuff an enemy model or unit, in a way that can't be unbound and has no range limit. This caused me to take a second look at him, and I've noticed that, in my personal opinion at least, he's actually pretty good. While his movement and charge are still Abyssmal, his low move is compensated for by the Destruction Allegiance ability, and in exchange for his rather terrible charge he has a beastly statline. 4 attacks, hitting on 3s and wounding on 3s at rend -2 dealing d6 damage each is pretty nuts, especially when he's buffed up with a battle brew, which he can take now that he's not a named character, and he can take a trait as well. Ravager might be especially good on him, as it further compensates for his poor movement. So, what do you all think? Think he may actually be pretty viable now?
