Hi all,

I'm starting a craftworld army having recently come back to the hobby after a 20 year absence. Ive always loved the eldar models and the grey/orange scheme looks great in my opinion.

I want to keep my army fluffy as much as possible while also being competitive. With that in mind what do people think the most suitable trait for Yme-Loc would be? I'm thinking either Beil-Tan, as they are forgers of weapons and could create more efficient shuriken weapons, or Iylanden as they are said to field many vehicles and wraith constructs. Don't think Ulthwe or Saim-Han really fit the bill but to be fair I could choose anything; don't really want to just go with Alaitoc, it's really strong but I don't think it fits the fluffy requirement.

Any ideas welcome, like I say I'm new to this and could do with some tips to add character to my army.

Thanks!

I think Iyanden could be used to represent superior craftsmanship keeping their vehicles at peak performance longer.

The Ulthwé trait could be explained as them having tougher vehicles, but also representing their armour being better crafted. Unlike Iyanden it actually gives extra durability, which seems appropriate.

These two would in my opinion be the fluffiest choices for Yme-Loc.

Thanks for the tips, I like the idea that their armour is better forged allowing them a 6+ FNP. Not sure the ulthwe stratagems and relics fit with the fluff so may just leave them out.

Yme-Loc seems like a craftworld that could conceivably use any trait, providing its consistent across the army of course. Being a broken/newly repaired craftworld I suspect they would take wraith units, have some aspect warriors and leave most of their guardians (artisans) at home. Lots of fluff options really.

Don't want to be 'that guy' who just picks the best attribute for their army to win
