So here's my guard army. Mostly veterans and convicts, an elite force. A lot of different bits. Wanted an urban vibe but still have some guys more geared toward temperate camo so there's a mix of grey and od bdu's. Some vehicle conversion, the bombard is kit bash. The centaur is a converted bren gun carrier. I converted the taurox into a half track. Made a custom model for iron hand straken, went for an m bison vibe. His dual pistol wielding bodyguard and master of the fleet are both converted from valk crew. Nork deddog is an old metal ogryn with an ogre kingdoms head. Custom sgt harker conversion, wanted him to look more weighed down with gear.

Thanks, I think it's a 1/35th scale bren carrier, which is usually a bit too big for 40k but it's about the perfect size for a centaur.

Thanks mang, I really wanted to vary all the gear so they look like a collection of remnant factions sorta placed together.

Exactly. Very clean lines. Considering the number of minis involved, with this level of work, wow.

Fantastic looking army! Love the slight conversion all around, couple things you could do to improve further: drill the gun barrels, some decal on the vehicles, dry powder work on the tracks. Some details missed: laser guidance on the sentinel plasma gun/the circle underneath the barrel, scope next to the cannon on the taurox, flicker lights on the wings of Valkyrie, highlight on the plasma glow, heat residue on the melta muzzles. The emperor protects!

The bright green isn't really my taste, but the execution in general is beyond solid. You should be really proud to own this collection and get to field on the table.

Yeah, the gun barrels could use some drilling I must agree, especially some of the stubbers. Decals I could also see adding, my only concern is sealing them properly without adding too much gloss, I'm not very good at that. I have some forgeworld powder but it's supposed to be grey but its very yellow/brown/ashen and looks more like sand. Yeah I see now I missed a few optics for sure. The valks wings are a bit spartan. I like keeping the meltas pretty clean, maybe a blach wash at most. Thanks for keen eye Big Mac

Thanks guy, it's a bit of a juxtaposition given the brightness. It's got an unspoken sprite/seven up appeal

Thanks guy

I primed black with krylon camo black, which is pretty nice and flat. Drybrushed with dawnstone, some of the later additions I used both dawnstone and dawnstone dry. Drybrush again lightly with administratum grey. Then black wash. Sometimes with another quick dusting after if the wash looked blotchy or weird in places. Green parts are just castellan green with elysian green line highlight.
