I am in the midst of studying for an important maths exam, organising a Bolt Action army and building 1000 points of second hand orks. Quite stressful (I really need at least a C in math!) so I thought I'd take my mind off it temporarily.

One thing I've always loved doing is imagining what I'd do if I was hired by GW to create an army for a showcase. Like an Imperial Guard regiment, an Ork Waaagh or a Chaos warband. here's a few of my ideas, I'd love to hear yours!

The Jornian Fifth, Claws of Joroe

An Imperial Guard regiment hailing from the Techno-feudal world of Joroe, they're one of eight regiments tithed from the planet. This regiment specialises in amphibious assault: Their Chimeras are specialized to keep high speeds in water, and are often open topped and seemingly facing the wrong direction: The turret sits at the back, with the ramp facing the front of the IFV. The soldiers are all mechanized, operating in squads of ten from their Chimeras. They carry autoguns instead of lasguns, since they're found to be more reliable in wet conditions, and they prefer weapons like heavy stubbers and grenade launchers over flamers and plasma guns.

The Hawks of Terra

An Astartes chapter centered around urban warfare: Their first and eight companies carry large shields and shotguns into combat, helping them resist heavy, close up fire. They excel at assaulting hive cities, due to their frequent use of Vindicators for close fire support.
