So I've decided that I need to clear house on a lot of models/projects that I've just never gotten around too and are just taking up space. There's a fair few still in the box and others assembled so it a bit of a mish mash list of stuff. I'm wondering if any here know of any other sites that do trading that are strong for the UK market.

I'm aware Dakka has a trading spot and I could also use ebay, though I'd rather try and see what I can sell off direct first. So anyone know any good UK based sites/trade spots that get good exposure to the UK market?

Ebay is terrible to sell unless you currently have a promotion to limit the seller fees. I don't know if they send them out to everyone at once, i had one available last weekend for 3£ max fees and occasionally get 1£ max. Without that you are already losing at least 10% off the value and more from paypal.

If you live in a busy area like a city facebook marketplace is ok but generally people search within their region so wont see the item if you live in a town/village. I get a lot of messages from resellers on there too who want the price cutting down and the item mailed, items usually end up seperated and put on ebay in small lots from people on there.

Thanks Winner

Chris - yeah ebay does come with more fees, the bonus is that it gets the most market attention so a higher chance of selling stuff quicker. They do send out random "no fee" weekend emails every so often, though having never sold on ebay before I'd rather treat it as a last ditch affair

If you have a local convention see if they hire out tables for the public to sell stuff.

Battlegrounds is on in Teeside on Sat I have a table booked for a couple of hours to sell through some of my pile of shame.

They charged me £1.00 for half an hour so it works out very cost effective.

Plus this year the tables are in the center of the hall near the retailers which should draw plenty of people.

Your last point is especially laughable and comical, because not only the 7th ed Valkyrie shown dumber things (like being able to throw the troopers without parachutes out of its hatches, no harm done) - Irbis
