Got my hands on 2nd hand warhound titan. Nice beast. Paint job isn't bad but it's clearly not painted by me and if I would want to add to titan forces(say another warhound or reaver or knights...) I couldn't get identical look so they wouldn't match. Thus I'm looking at possibility of stripping paint and painting it on my own. Besides painting is half the fun
Never having stripped resin of paint would like suggestions on what might be good liquids would be good at it. Braking fluid seems to be VERY bad idea with resin so that's out. There's cleaning liquid(I think similar to simple green) that works with plastic models though it's not super effective but good news is this isn't varnished model. Any others? High-% non-drinkable alcohol you can get from apotecharion?
Also how different solutions would deal with glue? I'm on fences on this. On the other hand if glue would get separated it would help repainting and if weapons would come off I could try to figure if there was way for swappable weapons. Right now it's the vulcan mega bolter and plasma and while those are nice(and would have been options I would have gone with anyway) this expensive platform weapon options without buying new titan WOULD be nice.
On the other hand without assembly instructions would I be able to reassemble the damn thing if it comes apart...Especially legs are scary so I might prefer one way that leaves glue in place for bottom half and glue-dissolving solution for upper half!
Of course simply keeping model as it is or painting(carefully) over it would be options as well.
