Hello, apologies if this is answered somewhere but I am missing it.

I am just getting into bugs, my book gets here tomorrow! Looking to pick up some carnifexes, but I saw that they are getting some new options / types. Do you guys know if there is a new kit coming to support that, or does the existing kit handle the new types as well?

Thanks for your help!

No new box, all options used to have rules, then we’re taken away and used purely as cosmetics, but now have rules again!

Yeah, what they have done is give us back rules for all the things that have been in the kit for years

Yep there's no new carnifex kit.

Tyranids have had no new sprue releases for the new edition. The only new item is the getting started boxed set (which with the saving basically means a free brood lord in the box).

I'd recommend reading up on how to magnetize a carnifex kit. Magnetizing the arms, head and shoulder plate lets you pick and choose from the wealth of options that the model has. It's one of the most variable models in the Tyranid line-up so having choice really helps.

Also its worth popping over and checking out the carnifex options on Forgeworld. The plastic core kit is the same, but you get crushing claws; a mace; ramming shoulders and tusks - these upgrades are proving very popular in a lot of peoples armies.

Thanks guys!

I will definitely be magnetizing.

Long time guard player, and I even magnetize little guardsmen so... monsters will definitely get that treatment.
