Trying to make a Daemon Prince model for my Death Guard army. Wanted something unique for my dudes. Also wanted an excuse to try making something unique and super kit-bashy. Heavily inspired from the folks here on DakkaDakka.

Day 1. Trying to Use an ENT from LotR as a base. I want to use all GW parts and GreenStuff. I plan to use this badboy in tournaments.


I used Durthu's sword for the first weapon. Went with tentacles for the second.

Day 2. Adding Plague drone legs on back since I love the insect themes on Nurgle Models. Trying to fill in a few gaps here and there. Using Durthu's face for the Prince since it is cool and scream-y.


Next steps I will need to add something to the legs to make them more yucky. Also needs some texture. Working hard but not expecting greatness, just expecting something I like and will have fun painting.

Very cool start, and that skinny look is a nice change for nurgle, yet still completely in its general vibe.

Looking forward to the next steps.

Day 3 went much slower. Adding details to the Prince so it has more character. I figured I can get away with him being "gawdy" since it is a Nurgle critter and the models tend to be very busy anyways.

I plan to completely surround one leg with 'faces' but trying to avoid a bunch of skulls, since that leaks into Khorne. Maybe I can fill the gaps with hands? Green stuff continues to be difficult for me but the only way to learn is to try!

Finished Kit-bashing the model together. Now it has a coat of primer!

Finished painting it. Learned a bunch from my trial. Made several mistakes and had to make compromises where I didn't want to, yet, overall I am happy with it. I doubt I will go back and mess with it unless I decide to finish the base.

He gives me a really big Scarecrow vibe, and I think it's really cool for Nurgle.
