Hi,

So I've stripped all my space marines down (they were a 12 year olds attempt at white scars...)

They're sitting in boxes awaiting me to decide on a paint scheme. I'm getting the Dark Imperium box set soon to get back into 8th and have decided once I've got the Primaris I'll start a new chapter.

I was thinking of painting them like they were celestial vindicators from Age of Sigmar. I really like that dark green/blue/teal thing going on with flashes of gold.

Now I've got the citadel app. It says use (for a celestial vindicator)
Macragge Blue base,
sotek green layer,
coleia greenshade shade
and temple guard blue edge highlight

but for "teal" it has
Stegadon scale green base
Coelia Greenshade Sharde
Sotek Green Layer
Temple Guard Blue Edge Highlight

Both examples have exactly the same example colour (on the app). I did think one was brighter than the other, but they're the same image, but they use different paints.

Which is the best, or most accurate? I edging toward the stegadon scale green base as that's a really nice colour... or even perhaps using incubi darkness as a base to make it darker (as I prefer a slightly dark colour) or perhaps even nuln oil as the shade.

Any tips? I will be using a black primer.

Even GW paints them differently in different tutorials. Use the one you like best.

Yes. Thanks. I think I'll have to do a test with a stegadon green base rather than the macragge blue for the more dark green colour I'm looking for.

Anyone had any luck with the citadel app version of teal?
