So I have had debate recently regarding how the hit rolls of 1 actually work. From the rule book it is clear that a dice roll of 1 always fails, even if i have an aura or some other ability that gives me a +1 to hit, but what about shooting plasma weapons with supercharged profile? Do the +1 to hit abilities count when you roll a "1" on the dice, making the shooter immune to being blown up?

I noticed much debate on this and can't seem to find a clear answer

It's in the first FAQ. 1 is still an auto miss, but it becomes a 2 and does not blow up.

Confirming the above answer. A natural 1 will always miss regardless of modifiers, but the result is still the modified result.

A roll of 1 with +1 to hit will miss, but still be a result of 2.

You can't modify below 1.

Again, covered in the FAQs, specifically the designers commentary. You can't modify below a 1, so yes, a result of "0" would blow up because it's one.

A roll of 2 with -1 to hit will overheat, same as a roll of 2 or 3 with -2 to hit, and so forth.

That's why the meme of moving overheating plasma at night exists.
