Is it me, or have Emperor’s Children become an awesome alpha strike army in 8th?

Since I started using them I have found that they can lay down SAVAGE firepower in turn one and then mop up with excellent (if not quite World Eater insane) melee. I like to hit hard and fast and kill as much as I can before my opponent can do anything, even if it means blowing most of my command points.

My last game was against a combined Guard and Ultramarine force (with the smurfs castled up around Girlyman). I took out about a third of my opponent’s army after deep striking in on turn one. Plasma terminators, obliterators with endless cacophony, forgefiend with daemonforge and blasphemous machines and warp talons with warptime and excess of violence took out Pask, ten primaris plasma guys and a screening unit of 30 conscripts. I even forgot to use my shooty helbrute!

IMHO not only is it effective but it is fun and fluffy - Chaos should be a super-aggressive army with brutal shock troops and I feel this isn’t well represented in this edition.
