Me and by buddy are working on our armies at the moment, he has quite the collection of Space Wolves, and as my name might suggest, i play Salamanders.

Since they added Primaris Marines into the cauldron, and we have both 30K, 40K and Primaris models for the same two Chapters, i would really love to know more about these two chapters and how exactly they understand/would understand each other. Both are, at least to my humble knowledge, quite different yet same. Runes, skulls, traditions, tribal communities... They seem like they would pair up pretty good, yet bash their heads in when something went wrong.

If there is any guru that would know more, enlighten me ! And if there is nothing cannon, what would you guys suggest and think ? Could they operate together in union on a large scale crusade ? Would they share their traditions with others ? Could they even fight alongside each other without something going horribly wrong ? Would it be a difficult balance between the overall deed for the imperium VS own mind and thinking ?

Overall the Sallies are more concerned with the life of civilians, yet have no remorse while burning down heretics alive. The Wolves are by far more agressive, straight to the point, tearing down tanks houses and enemies by the hundereds.

I want to come up with some fluff, or find some fluff better said, to get a better feel for the armies, with which we will fight alongside eacht other. And i cant think of a better place to ask then here.

Anyway, any replies will be great, any ideas or thoughts - let me know, i am really curious.

And if you see any grammar issues, i am terribly sorry, its not my main language.

Space Wolves are also pretty humanitarian, all things considered. It got them into trouble with the Inquisition on Armageddon.

I have no trouble seeing the Salamanders getting on well with most Chapters, as long as they don't use refugees as Ork bait (see Marines Malevolent).

Yeah, don´t get me started on Marines Malevolent, what a bunch of as*hats...

I think the two could work pretty well all in all, maybe i will have to come up with my own stories. Or better said, they will write themselves by playing a bunch of games.
