While digging around in the Closet Of Shame, I came across all of my unpainted models from the first MYTH KS. I went all in on the first one, and after one session I realize that it will never be a primary game for me. Or a secondary one, or even tertiary. That said, I still like the models, and a lot of them could see some use in other games. On the flip side, there is a lot of stuff, and it takes up a lot of space. In the end, I pushed it all back where it was, behind all the other unpainted stuff that I acquired more recently.

Is there anyone else here with too much MYTH? How are you dealing with it all?

I luckily have a full-sized basement.

On a more serious note, there have been a few of these big Kickstarter games that have ended up being terrible. I wonder how many people would pay $20 or something for some good rules that made use of all the components from one of them?

Frostgrave Bestiary? Dragons Rampant and Kings of War are also probably good places to use them. Open Combat is another I like and I've heard good things about A Song of Blades and Heroes as well.

"But me no buts! Our comrades get hurt. Our friends die. Falkenburg is a knight who swore an oath to serve the church and to defend the weak. He'd be the first to tell you to stop puling and start planning. Because what we are doing-at risk to ourselves-is what we have sworn to do. The West relies on us. It is a risk we take with pride. It is an oath we honour. Even when some soft southern burgher mutters about us, we know the reason he sleeps soft and comfortable, why his wife is able to complain about the price of cabbages as her most serious problem and why his children dare to throw dung and yell "Knot" when we pass. It's because we are what we are. For all our faults we stand for law and light.

I reckon I'll just paint the models up for use in other games, find some use for the map tiles and put the cards in a box and forget about them.

The cards would make great bookmarks for your other rule books. Would the tiles work as terrain? If you put them over a red tablecloth, could they pass for a "keep off the lava" table?

I'd use them for RPGs etc., if the game hadn't frustrated me so much I couldn't stand looking at it (sold it at a loss).

Song of Blades and Heroes is a good alternative. I've played it and like it a lot. Frostgrave has several monsters that could be proxied. Same with Ghost Archipelago.

Scorpions and other big bug gribblies are useful for this is not a test and probably the real fallout game.

Thanks, everyone. I think I'll offer it for sale after the holidays, but if I get no takers I'll just cannibalize everything for other games.

I'd be interested in the stuff.

Also; King of War would be a great place to utilize models.

Lastly; the property is about to complete sale to another publisher, and production of the Journeyman stretch goals is supposed to be moving forward after the Chinese New Year...... so you never know,..... Myth might have life yet.

How interested? Shipping from Japan can be pretty expensive. That's been the main impediment to my reducing the Closet Of Shame.

yeah; I guess that would be tough.

maybe hold out to see what happens,..... if things work out; the modules look like they will be a great new format for the game.
