Woof?

Alright, so I feel this has been posted before somewhere but I did a search and I couldn’t find any that were that recent.
Is anyone here on dakka playing something 6mm or around that scale? Preferably not epic as I’d have to resort to proxies and for some reason that makes me feel like I’m putting Elmo in the Tellitubbies. If someone does have another rule set or something (even homebrew) that they enjoy playing then feel free to let me know.
Thanks,
Cat

Horizon Wars from Osprey is a great ruleset that you can use 6, 8, 10mm stuff for. I usually play with a mix of Firestorm Planetfall and Dropzone Commander models, with some Heavy Gear thrown in, too.

There's no set range of models, you can use whatever you have/want.

I haven't gotten it yet, but I backed the kickstarter for a game called Polyversal - the designers intended it to be a universal sci-fi wargame for 6mm (or 15mm). I'm hoping they'll deliver some good rules.

I prefer to buy from miniature manufacturers that *don't* support the overthrow of democracy.

Epic Armageddon is good for the rules. Then you can make your own army lists if you do not want to proxy.

I also recommend looking for Dirtside II, Horizon Wars, and Alpha Strike.

Those are off the top of my head and I will think about it a bit.

Woof?

Thanks everyone for all the suggestions so far. I reckon right now my favourite suggestion is Manchu’s (angelbarracks) because a. I’m lazy and this has models and rules for those models and b. said rules are free XD.
Thanks,
