The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

Not sure if that's the weirdest adaptation I've ever seen, or the most awesome XD

I'm game for that

Reminds me a bit of the alternate universe setting for Justice League: Shogun of Steel graphic novel which was also set in feudal Japan. Batman's role in that was filled by a female ninja and they fought Brainiac, I thought it was well done and had always hoped they'd do another one since it was a one off book. Worth the read if you're a fan of samurai stuff and it'll be interesting to see what they do with the Batman Ninja movie/series?

The two are not mutually exclusive.

Looks fun, but also very odd.
