So while I've been collecting bits to convert wulfen out of primaris intercessor bodies, I began a list for fun. I have found that on paper blood claws have the potential to be nasty in close combat epecially in a pack of 15. My ideal fun list would include Wulfen, Lukas, and a wolf priest with two large squads of bloodclaws. The wulfen buff blood claws up to 12" away with either reroll on charge or +1 attack. Lukas gives blood claws a buff of +1 to all hit rolls.. The good thing about this key word is that these affect swiftclaws and skyclaws as well. Not to mention the wolfguard pack leaders in the squads benefit as well.
So recap: units with the bloodclaw keyword will get
+1 to all hit rolls
+1 attack from wulfen (or reroll charge)
+1 attack for blood claw berserk charge
+1 att for chain sword
Reroll all failed hits in fight phase
Use Ld of priest
Stats after buffs WS 2+ BS 3+ S4 T4 W1 A 3(4) Ld 9 Sv 3+
Pretty nice on paper and it would seem hiding plasma guns in blood claw packs would be a great idea now. All this of course hinges on the proximity to the wulfen and 2 characters. I think I may add a Rune priest as well for storm caller I think we all like +1 to our saves. What do you guys think? Good in theory? .

It is good combination that make the Blood Claws offensive power looks impressive. However, given how squishy T4 Sv3+ units are in current meta. You need transports to get your Bloodclaws in there. To carry 15 strong Bloodclaw pack and a pack of Wuflen plus all those support characters, you need TWO LRCs or Stormwolf Flyers, that would be really too many points in there.
So my proposal is make those Bloodclaws into units of 10. It not only allows you to transport them in Rhinos, which is around only 1/4 the points of the LRC, but also let you have more hidden powerfist / special weapons on board. While your Wuflen and support Characters riding in LRC driving up in the middle. In this case, just one LRC or Stormwolf is enough.

With chapter approved we now have a stratagem that lets the blood claws be delivered quickly to the enemies front lines. So it then becomes a question of how you want to deliver all of those special characters. I personally would just run more blood claws and use the stratagem, but that might just be me (the wulfen are useful buffers for the reroll charge though)

Drop pods also got reduced in price in a big way. They're pretty much Rhinos with a tiny point increase for the instant delivery. Granted you'll have a forced 9" charge whereas with a Rhino you might get closer. However... you might not get closer with the amount of anti-armor people bring now. This would require the 10 man squads again though.

Save the CPs for the new strategem to use on the wulfen.

Well I own 1 drop pod, 1 rhino and 1 land raider so I could cover all those bases. Yes the new stratagem that lets us essentially outflank is great. I plan on using it for sure. I think I'll make a version of this list for playing games at a few different points levels. I built a 1000 point list but it was cramped and hard to cover all my bases. 1250-1500 pts should have some more wiggle room for really maximizing this idea. I'm not a fan of 2k point games.

Try 2x5 and 1x6 blood claws or 3x5 with a stock wolf priest or lukas instead of a full unit of 16 in a stormwolf or the crusader.

This way you have access to the battallion without bringing other troops.

Add 3 razorbacks and 1-2 dreads for armor saturation. Wulfen ouflank and TWC/bikes can ride fast across the board. Long fangs for the ranged support and eventually deep striking terminators or more wulfen to keep pressure.

With lower formats and without owning multiple rhinos/razorbacks I'd suggest to avoid vehicles comptletely especially the drop pod, which is still useless and the land raider, utterly expensive for small games. The rhino could work but along with dreads, bikes and/or TWC that add armor saturation.

A character like lukas is also very expensive for a 1000 points game.

Good points. I'm not planning on bringing vehicles for that reason. I was thinking of bringing a suicide combimelta wolf guard squad for hard targets. I do have bikers I typically kit out as wolf guard I don have TWC yet. I have many dreads. Two shield/axe dread, murderfang, ven dread with ass cannon, rifleman dread with 2x twin autocannon, and Bjorn. I like the idea of splitting squads to prevent a single squad from being focused down.
