Well not much commenting possible yet especially with just one shot but having spent part of yesterday and the independence day holiday measuring and cutting here's what I'm standing at(barring board that was done before). Next step would be mixing some PVA&sand and coat over and then paint. I have bunch of dark grey which I was planning to put over as base and then airbrush shades of lighter grey, brown etc followed by maybe some drybrushing. Then some other colours.

Not sold on the crater attempts. Maybe cut down height a bit and maybe it becomes better with sand coated over.

Bridge is tad too short. Not many positions over river it reach without gaps showing. Whoops. Next bridge tad longer.

Think another half a dozen ruins gives me enough building/ruins for now(final size will be 180cmx120cm board. This is 60cmx120cm).

Once I get basic terrain done I'm hoping to make modular(ish) walkway system to get effectively another layer to walk and fight over.

Any suggestions how to make good floor texture to foamcore?

I like the old school buildings with debris, though I agree the craters are a bit off. You can get textured papers you can put down on the floors perhaps.
