I’ve heard some interesting rumors... of it being resurrected sometime 2018. Any truth to it?

Unlikely. Adeptus Titanicus is next up on the docket as far as we know and will likely be the SG boxed release for 2018 assuming they can get the production sorted out in time. BFG's return in the form of Battlefleet: Heresy has been floated as a possibility by the SG guys at events maybe, at some unspecified future point, but also as far as we know the SG team only actually has the resources to support three games at a time right now, and with AT's release that limit will be reached.

Now perhaps Necromunda and AT will be runaway successes, and they'll be given more resources on the back of that, I'm sure we all hope so, but even so you'd have to think it would be 2019 at the earliest before we saw anything.

I need to acquire plastic Skavenslaves, can you help?
I have a blog now, evidently. Featuring the Alternative Mordheim Model Megalist.

"Your society's broken, so who should we blame? Should we blame the rich, powerful people who caused it? No, lets blame the people with no power and no money and those immigrants who don't even have the vote. Yea, it must be their fething fault." - Iain M Banks

"The language of modern British politics is meant to sound benign. But words do not mean what they seem to mean. 'Reform' actually means 'cut' or 'end'. 'Flexibility' really means 'exploit'. 'Prudence' really means 'don't invest'. And 'efficient'? That means whatever you want it to mean, usually 'cut'. All really mean 'keep wages low for the masses, taxes low for the rich, profits high for the corporations, and accept the decline in public services and amenities this will cause'." - Robin McAlpine from Common Weal
