After getting my Imperial Guard up 2000+ points I want to make something different. I've always loved Beastmen models so I decided to pick up a regiment box and start to making them more fitting to 40k. Here's what I've done so far. A killteam that I play as either kroot or tau.

Close up of the first two

Now I need to figure out what colored I want them to be. Also got some big plans for this project which I 'll show when I get all the necesary parts.

I always like seeing AoS races put into 40k, especially beastmen.

Thanks man! Here's some more i've painted. Also trying to fit an autocannon for a beastmen is proving a quite difficult task.

Awesome! You know I've just started a sort of INQ28-version of this myself

Looking cool I especially like the use of the Juggernaut/Skullcrusher head for the big ol' Minotaur beasty

Another option for them would be SM Scouts. They're certainly beefy enough to fit their S4/T4 and they're a bit choppier than Tau

Oh, and I've come up with a semi-expanded Shadow War idea and need some feedback! https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/726439.page

Lastly I contribute to a blog too! http://objectivesecured.blogspot.co.uk/ Check it out! It's not just me

I've seen this sort of project before, but it was simply a head swap onto an IG body, This is the first time I've seen someone take stock bodies and sculpt flak armor on them. The sculpt is excellent and it is the defining aspect to the models. Even if I hadn't seen the title of this thread and had just seen the picture I'd have known it was 40K conscripted Beastmen. The proportions of the model remain intact, the only difference is they are wearing Imperial flak armor which (in comparison to human IG) really impresses the size difference to scale.

Looking forward to seeing more of your work.

Thanks for the comment! I've actually finished a killteam sized group few months ago. Just forgot to post them here.

Also some WIP shots of some bigger fellas for the upcoming army.

Totally agree, I dunno if it’s because it’s kind of like he’s returning to his bestial shamanic roots. Keep up the good work.

Looking forward to the riptide? I think that’s right, it’s looking good so far.

Ah! Finally some progress, even if it's a little one. First testing out some brighter red.

And then something little bit bigger. Going to be a count-as Auxilia Quad Heavy Bolter Battery for 30k militia.

Feel a bit torn on that red... I like it on the panels and weapons, stands out nicely. But it seems to take away from the 'warpaint' these guys have going on, which I really liked on the previous models.

Cannon-rat is awesome, like that a lot.

Thanks for the comment! I agree with you that it is missing the warpaint aspect of the other ones. Maybe I shouöd add some other colored lines and stuff? Maybe for the arm aswell.
