The idea is that each squad of Neophytes (with exception of one that is riding with flamer) is providing some warm bodies for my Magi to hide behind. Basilisk provide long ranged anti-tank and MEQ hunting role, 3 Devil Dogs rush enemy heavies while having a backup plan of roasting anything that dares charging. Squad with Shotguns and Flamers is my Vanguard.

Not certain about hte flamer chimeras. It's a very narrow band to be within 8 inches of something and not be charged (and rednered unable to shoot the next turn.

There isn't much in this list that benefits from being GSC. Your maguses could be swapped for Primaris psykers and your infantry for normal guard. Even the chimeras aren't getting anything special out of it. You need to invest in either some of the unique GSC units or some of the GSC heavy weapons for the hybrids.

Yeah, as discussed in the other thread you need something to warrant gsc, as this probably would be a heck of lot stronger as a guard army with tallarn or Armageddon tactics. Where are you using the ambush? The melee madness?
