Thought you’d already done the Great Harlequin. Must have two of him.

Still looking good and eye catching while still holding a semblance of menace and Eldar otherworldliness. Nice balancing act.

I’ve just taken a great big stroll through all the back pages of this spectacular project to remind me of all your great collection. So many fantastic tweaks and conversions along the way too. What a triumph!

Have you any plans for 2024 you can share? Any wild Eldar related projects in mind? Exidote dragon knights mounted on dinos from dark elf cold-ones? A wrangling of wraith lords, or maybe something even bigger?

Thank you theCrowe.

I am still working on the old Harlequins that my gaming buddies pushed my way (I have about nine to do). I did pick up four more from eBay to flesh out the units and get a couple of Great Harlequins. I also have four more original Swooping Hawks to assemble and paint.

More WIP, but pretty well done other than their masks.

Love those harlequins! Their blue faces are rather eerie and great work on the chequers.

Any podcast listeners who’d love to hear some of the original harlequins fiction from White Dwarf read by a really great reader should give this a listen. This is where the lozenges come from!

Happy New Year Captain Brown! That was rapid work on the last bunch of harlequins, they look great. Must be a bit relieved to have done such a good job on all of those chequers!

Nice work on the Harlequins, CB - I don't envy you painting all that motley on 'em, though

Keep the classics alive, Cap'n. I like seeing the old Eldar power glove used in one of the repairs. Always a great piece.

I think I will take a break before I tackle the last handful of Harlequins. Picked up these four from eBay to increase my Swooping Hawks to 10 models.

I noticed I had to add some weight under the bases as they are a little tipsy.

Lovely start there CB, love those Swooping Hawk minis. I remember I had to put pennies over my old ones to stop them going over.

As much as I loved the models, I almost never fielded them because they refused to remain standing.

Now showing more Samurai Marines, Bad Squiddo Amazons, and an Oldhammer Chaos Thug!

Painting total as of 3/28/2024: 21 plus a set of modular spaceship terrain

Looks like you're off to a good start with the Hawks, Cap'n - are these expanding an existing unit, or is there an Exarch due to join them at some point?

Echoing the sentiments of the others, I always loved the swooping hawks. Even as a non-Eldar collector there’s something super cool about them. Looks like you’ve made a great start to them too
