I am starting with the Goliaths. A gang I always laughed at since the original minis were IMO really bad.
Todays multipart plastic minis are a totally different breed. Only thing that I still don’t like are the big mohawks, but no big deal, any excessive hair can be simply cut away.

My gang will be based on the BANE aesthetics from the 3rd Batman movie. So here we go, first two minis painted:

the short hair really works, esp on the blond dude.
Only crit on on the metals - they're all the same tone & no grease on the tools. But this is only minor as they do look great!

Check out my gallery here
Also I've started taking photos to use as reference for weathering which can be found here. Please send me your photos so they can be found all in one place!!

Finished my Leader (or Champion):

Since I wanted him to stand out a bit, he received shoulderpads and a breather that still shows his face.
I also kept the steel Mohawk.

Distracted by Star Wars I only finished 1 Escher:

Nice sculpt but IMO not as good as the Goliath.
Way too big and showing the usual GW sculpting flaws, feet and hands are too big, cartoonish proportions,
the Goliath physiques can be justified with the uncontrolled drug abuse, but way are the Escher as tall as a Space Marine?

Really strange since I liked the Escher minis more when they 1st popped up on the Net.

Nice paint! I like the figure, but I hear what you're saying. I haven't seen them in the plastic, but I get the impression that the Escher are waaayyy too big. One or two might look cool as unusually tall individuals, but I don't see myself getting a gang.

Sweet looking paint work. A pleasure to view.

I came across your gang in a google search when I was painting my goliaths. I tried a similar scheme (identical) but didn’t get the same results. Something about the models I found really awkward to paint. It was a proper chore. They look so good, was surprised how much I didn’t enjoy painting them. In the end rushed them and have put them away and not looked since.

But cheers for the inspiration. (That I stole).

I really like your painting style! Would you mind telling, what colours you've been using for the skin? It looks great!

Sorry for answering a bit late…

I use Reaper Miniatures Master Series Paints Core Colors rosy skin (09068), after that a good wash with Citadel Reikland Fleshshade.
Rosy Skin again, and then final highlights with rosy skin and mixed in white!
