Title very much says it all. I'd be really interested to hear about your Necron army!

Photos of the models, total number of models, what you've got, what you're proud of, what you've converted etc....
I'm aware there's a general Necron chat threat but that's most related to the rules and playing of Necrons rather than the collecting, painting, modelling of them .

My own is currently under construction and consists of only a getting started set until I can release some funds tied up in other models or get some over christmas as gifts (if I'm lucky).

All I have is a single squad of Immortals/Deathmarks still on Sprue. I was excited to start an army for 8th ed. but it was clear from the start that I'd be waiting a while for a real codec so I switched to Nurgle.
Sigh... When will I ever get to make a model of this guy...

Well, I played Necrons in tourneys in the 6th and 7th ed.
My basic collection consists of the following:
20 Necron Warriors
20 Immortals
5 Lychguard
5 Praetorians
15 Wraiths
10 Scarabs
4 Night Scythes
4 Annihilation Barges aka Cmd Barges
1 Tesseract
all three C'tan Shards
6 Tomb Blades
1 Tomb Stalker
3 Spyders
and whatnot.

The best unit have always been the Wraiths.

Necrons are odd, most of the FW look fantastic, though the biggest models in the Pylons have always seemed to me to be very dull for such a big model. The kind of large object that look good in a game with lots of large objects, but on its own seems rather dull when its the biggest thing on its own.

Yeah not so interested in the FW bg units. I want to build a Kutlahk the World Killer and Toholk the Blinded.

I'll say one thing that surprises me, how few triarch stalkers there are in collections. I'd have thought them a little more common than they are, suggesting either that they are limited in the current rules (I've not bought into them waiting on the new codex) or that lots of people didn't collect them as much when the stalker came out; or are they just not popular?

Aye I plan to see if I can get a couple of the getting-started boxed sets. Stalker and warriors, plus free Lords. Esp since GW seems to change the core content of the getting started kits so it will be interesting to see what they change the Necron one to.
