In the old old (2nd?) eldar codex there where a fluff page about eldars teaming up with imperial guard. Imparantly imperial settelers had dug up one of the 3 gates eldars could use to enter into heaven. But since slanesh ate all the eldars, a pandoras box of demons came out instead. The eldar and the imperial gaurds teamed up to seal it.

Do anybody know where I can find information about this? Have I only dreamed it? It might be in the IG codex, but I think I only had acces to the ekdar one.

You're thinking of the Cursus of Alganar on Tallarn. It's mentioned in both the Eldar and IG codexes for 2nd edition. It's possibly not entirely canon any more since the 3rd edition retcons that made Eldar and Imperials much more hostile and xenophobic towards each other than they'd been portrayed in 2nd edition.

Yep it's in the 2nd ed IG codex as part of the Tallarn Background. and like Duskweaver says maybe it's non-canon anymore since it's no longer mentioned in current IG codex.

It can still remain as an obscure canon part as it fit the Eldar/empire relationships as eldar just appearing to stop Chaos and leaving without further alliance.


P.S: also worth to notice i just finished Ghost warrior, Rise of the Ynarri, where this theme (the gateway to the gods) it's somewhat revisited, as an Ancient Craftworld with Webway gates that lead to several *shrines* bounded to the Eldar Gods. (the book only discloses what lies behind the Khaine one) wich may suggest future models or develops for the Eldar in 40k.
