Hi all so I came up with a crazy concoction tonight and wanted to make the most of guard and blood angels(plus I am wanting to expand on my guard stuff as I only have 1000 points atm) I feel each force is a good compliment to each other the blood angels using their stratgems to get turn one charges to kill most hordes and alpha strike while the guard gun line and prorect my deployment from being flanked

Strategy is simple depending on who is going first I will move the death company for free turn one and and then drop down the rest of drepstrikers sguard the ancient and the captain and librarian use might of heroes on the death company making them +1 strength toughness and attack and veil of time on the sanguinary guard so they can't be interpreted in combat

Creed orders the Lascannons squads to reroll all hits while the infantry squads screen the tanks and basalisks from threats and if pask and tank commander don't need to move then I will order them to pop smoke launchers and shoot in the same turn

I think the list is legitatamet however if things needs switching round please let me know or if I have missed something etc as for the relic of baal strategem can I use the 1cp to give the standard to my ancient even if I have not picked one relic of baal as it states pick one extra relic of baal and give to a blood angel character if not I will probs be choosing a squad of reivers as it will not affect the points at all and keep me with legal for my vanguard detachment

My only last though was to change pask and the tank commander for punishers over battle cannons for more anti infantry

PLEASE NOTE No I will not be buying more heavy weapons teams for mortars xD don't not even suggest it haha

I don'[t know how easy it would be to do but you probably want to keep your AM and BA forces in separate detachments - which you have for all but the battalion detachment.

I don't know about the AM codex but the BA codex states that only units in a 'BLOOD ANGELS DETACHMENT' get the red thirst.

So no biggie in this instance in that it's just the libby who doesn't get the +1 to wound roll, however the AM codex may have similar wording about their abilities.

I have only done the mixed imperium one for the cheap battalion and it gets me +3cp not fussed on the libby not having red thirst and I'd rather have him as a normal marine libby for might of heroes over unleash fury

I have kept the units I want as blood angels in their own detachment to benefit from the red thirst and also kept the important units for the guard in the spearhead to benefit the from guard specific abilities regiments etc
