Hi guys!

So in the new year some good buddies and me will be doing a narrative 40k campaign for ourselves. At the moment it's just the 4 of us.

I'm going to be Salamander Primaris Marines, a friend using undivided Chaos, another using Dark Eldar and another using Deathguard. We want to use the new warp storm / the Indominatus (probably not spelt right?) crusade as important roles in the campaign.

Do any of you awesome people have any good ideas?

My initial thought would be the Primaris marines are leading a new force into a undiscovered part of the storm and will obviously meet the chaos inside there but I'm not sure how to tie the Dark Eldar into it all...

A Song of Ice and Fire - House Greyjoy.
AoS - Maggotkin of Nurgle, Ossiarch Bonereapers & Seraphon.
Bloodbowl - Lizardmen.
Horus Heresy - World Eaters.
Marvel Crisis Protocol - Avengers, Brotherhood of Mutants & Cabal.
Middle Earth Strategy Battle game - Rivendell & The Easterlings.
The Ninth Age - Beast Herds & Highborn Elves.
Warhammer 40k  - Tyranids.

So ...

Undivided Chaos have invaded an Imperial world to excavate a Chaos relic. The relic is Nurgle-aligned, which has resulted in a warband of the Death Guard arriving to take it from their rivals by force. The overwhelmed PDF sent for reinforcement, and the Salamanders replied. Meanwhile, Eldar raiders have been spotted on the planet. Are they simply a poorly-timed raiding party? Are they here to prevent the artefact being removed, or to destroy it? And are there other artefacts that they'll try to secure before the Chaos forces learn of them?

That's got scope for the two Chaos forces fighting against each other, or in tandem vs either of the other two factions. Likewise for the Dark Eldar and Marines. There's also room to add any other Imperial faction as reinforcements (for the Chaos side(s), if need be!), as well as Harlequins, Ynnari or Craftworld Eldar arriving, summoned by the Dark Eldar.

If the Undivided Chaos player has any Nurgle-aligned units, they could be secretly working with the Death Guard rather than their own warband.
