Hey everyone,

really enjoying the new Necromunda so far and started working on my own gang. I'll be updating this thread and of course i'd love to get some feedback.

Here's for starters what i've been working on allnight, my leader:

Took a few bits from the sprue like the arms and the shoulderpad, though keeping the jacket in one piece was the hardest sofar. Sadly there is only a single gas mask on a sprue so now i got 4, means i gotta make my own ones for the gangers. On the other hand this differs the leader and champs from the rest

What do you think?

Cheers!

By now there should be a theme you can see. I went for gasmasks, the shoulderpad with the spikes and some chains. Also i removed the feathers and birdskulls associated with the standard gang. Already got a color to paint in mind and i want to add some toxic slime or whatever on the bases.

Still need a name for my gang though, ideas?

Cheers!

How did you sculpt the greenstuff tubes you've got going on there, is there a trick to it? My only thought would be maybe rolling out the old classic third-grade claysnake on some kind of textured surface.

"Got you, Yugi! Your Rubric Marines can't fall back because I have declared the tertiary kaptaris ka'tah stance two, after the secondary dacatarai ka'tah last turn!"

"So you think, Kaiba! I declared my Thousand Sons the cult of Duplicity, which means all my psykers have access to the Sorcerous Facade power! Furthermore I will spend 8 Cabal Points to invoke Cabbalistic Focus, causing the rubrics to appear behind your custodes! The Vengeance for the Wronged and Sorcerous Fullisade stratagems along with the Malefic Maelstrom infernal pact evoked earlier in the command phase allows me to double their firepower, letting me wound on 2s and 3s!"

"you think it is you who has gotten me, yugi, but it is I who have gotten you! I declare the ever-vigilant stratagem to attack your rubrics with my custodes' ranged weapons, which with the new codex are now DAMAGE 2!!"

"...which leads you straight into my trap, Kaiba, you see I now declare the stratagem Implacable Automata, reducing all damage from your attacks by 1 and triggering my All is Dust special rule!"

For the tubes i got myself a handy tool from greenstuffworld.com, its two carved plastik pieces inbetween which you put a claysnake

The conversions are looking great! Realy excited to have a crack at them after seeing yours.

For the name I’m sure I can come up with something but any fluff / names / gang colors you want (or definitely don’t want) to use would help.

Your sculpting skills look great. I want to recommend using a white background and/or mid-morning light when photographing your models. It will reduce the deep shadows and make your conversions much easier to discern.

Thanks, great to see i can get people hyped on a project like this

A white background is a good idea, should've read that latest WD before shooting. Thanks for the feedback here, i'm still sorta making things out and the only good cam i got is the one on my phone.

Tonight i'll be painting, got my airbrush fired up and ready.

About the coloring i'll go with pink, black and white for the hair and something a bit darker like olive or maybe blue on the cloth, still undecided here... everything involving the chem, gas or whatever is gonna be neon green glowing

First decent ideas I had for name was “Chem Dragons”, “Queen Basilisks”, and “Location/leaders name’s Dragons/Basilisks/Queens/Maidens” after looking House Escher up on Lexicanum. According to Lexicanum some exestant gangs are:

Carrion Queens
Wild Cats
Praxic Wildcats
Chem Fall Runners
Feral Claws
Skinners
Morbid Mavens
Irad Widows
Crimson Harpies

Of those, based on the work you’ve done, the ones that sound good to me are “Wild Cats”, “Praxic Wildcats”, “Chem Fall Runners”, “Morbid Mavens”, and “Irad Widows”. Your gang doesn’t strike me as savage and you’ve removed the overt bird symbols so I wouldn’t use names that reference them.

Edit: My personal vote is for “Chem Dragons” or “Bianci’s Basilisks” and if you don’t use either I just might.

Really cool Eschers, I like the gas-masked theme, and the chem thrower conversions are great!

Thanks for the feedback, hope i can spread some inspiration.

I really like Chem Fall Runners, "Chem" should be in the name. Was thinking about "Chem-Pigs", cause pigs are pink like their hair and a gasmask sort of resembles a snout xD

For reference a quick update from my workbench:

Leader is looking great, almost getting a queen of the post-apocalypse vibe from her, not a city girl but her and her gang are definitely at the top in the slums/wastes. As for the name “Chem Pigs” sounds good, if you’re feeling crazy enough I’d see about trying to play up the snout look while painting. Maybe tint the hair towards purple and for the glass-masks a red-er pink with black “nostrils”. The Pig in the gang name also works well with the less flamboyant outfit colors you’ve got going.

Wuuaaahh pink gasmasks is a great idea, i gotta try this now glorious! I'll be right at it! Thinking about a name for my leader an "leadersnames Chem-Pigs" sounds even better.

Great progress.

Auntie Ann's Chem-Pigs, after their leader "Auntie" Annakusha? Throwback to Tina Turner in Thunderdome?
