Lots of differences between the American Wars of Independence and Waterloo I'm afraid. They will stick out like a sore thumb if you try to use the uniform for either time period in the wrong setting. Even the uniforms used at Waterloo vary somewhat from those used elsewhere in the wars with France against Napoleon.

Most notable elements being:

1) The hats used for uniform
2) The coats used (pinned back tails or shorter waist-length only)
3) Cut of trousers

A quick google search will highlight the differences rather quickly

Thousand Sons: 3850pts / Space Marines Deathwatch 5000pts / Dark Eldar Webway Corsairs 2000pts / Scrapheap Challenged Orks 1500pts / Black Death 1500pts

Saga: (Vikings, Normans, Anglo Danes, Irish, Scots, Late Romans, Huns and Anglo Saxons), Lion Rampant, Ronin: (Bushi x2, Sohei), Frostgrave: (Enchanter, Thaumaturge, Illusionist)
