Subject: How to drown a Tervigon

Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas all.
I am trying to drown a Tervigon in LA Awesome but she isn't going down without a fight. I can't get her submerged all the way and any trying to find heavy objects to weigh her down.
You smart dakkians probably have an ingenious way to do this and I am probably overthinking it. How do you guys get big objects to submerge? Now that I think of it, how would you get a bunch of smaller guys to submerge? I have a bunch of Termagants I have to strip next.
I was thinking about getting some heavy bolts from the hardware store and tie them together with fishing line and dropping that across the Tervigon. Won't work for the little guys though...

Anything heavy, and rubber-band it around the base.

Drill a small hole into all of the air pockets (like the sack and the main torso) and rotate it slowly under the liquid to remove all of the air.

Dont drill the model. The Egg sac has air in it which is the problem. Just get some fishing line and a few small fishing weights and tie it around the feet or something. then just cut the line when you are done.

Good call, want to avoid drilling as that is going to cause me more work.
Any ideas for for the smaller guys?

Use a metal mesh of some kind (like a sift or maybe a small grill-like item) to weigh them all down. That way you don't have to do any weird/convoluted things to make sure everything is submerged. You can use this method on all the models too. Also if it still isn't working because buoyancy and you don't get along, you can more easily weigh that down than the models! The caveat is that you'd need a reservoir big enough to support this idea, though. Hopefully it helps!

Use a container with a lid. Stick your models to the lid with poster-tac. When the lid is on they will be submerged upside-down in the cleaning fluid.
TBH i just rotate the floating models. I have a tervigon, a few fexes and a pile of gaunts in my ultrasonic right now and i just run it a few cycles and then flip any models that need the other side stripped.

Refrigerator magnet clips?
Just clip the bases and take them off when you're done.

Just put a small plate on top of them to keep them from rising.

This seems like it may be the easiest way and I like easy. What type of mesh do you use?

Honestly just a sift would be easiest (dollar store variety is perfect). Plus, once thoroughly washed, you can use it for baking fun treats to devour whilst you paint
If you need something a bit more robust, finding a mesh/grill also from the dollar store would be good too. Just keep in mind the size of your container you're using and you should be good to go!
PS. What are you using to strip them? I find Super Clean or Purple Power (available at WalMart) has the best results.
