It's the conclusion of an absurdly long, even by fantasy standards, book cycle dealing with the foundations of the setting. It was going to top charts and polls even if it was two thousand pages of lorem ipsum.

I mean, the aftermath is probably going to be its own ten book series. I don't mean that in a cynical way but there will definitely be a desire to tell the stories that weren't told.

Oh yeah, I'd be very surprised if the Scouring book series was not already on the way.

...the untold story of the Siege of Vraks that was told in 622 pages across 3 large hardback volumes with lots of colour plates...? The untold story that also got a 227 page second edition in the same format?
I'd rather they just reissue the old Imperial Armour books.
Automatically Appended Next Post:
It is interesting that they focus on Tyborc, one of the few recognisable names from the war (which was really about the theme of faceless warfare) and the cover art is a poor version of some of the original Vraks artwork...

I heard his second DKK novel wasn’t great
Maybe all the source material for Vraks will help?

I loved the first one but the second was a dissapointment. Hopefully Siege one will be much better.

Didn't see that anywhere, but Steve Lyons has always been a great DKoK author. I doubt he will focus on the entirety of the Siege. Perhaps written from the perspective of Captain-Major-Colonel Tyborc?
