So in my list I have a gunline with farseer in the middle. They happen to be FieldCraft (alaitoc)

My Pyschic powers will probably be Doom and Executioner plus Smite.

So if you could choose pick one of these traits:

a) Puritanical Leader. Basically no one in the gunline will need morale. (however all the units except for 1 is 6 or less models....seem like a waste)

b) Seer of the Shifting Vector. So 1 free reroll for certain things per battle turn. (saving throws are good here, but Ghost Helm makes a free roll for all the other stuff except for damage rolls. Is this better to reroll Executioner/Smite Damage??)

c) you have a better options?

thanks

Yeah the reroll is alittle meh. I kind of don't like the far seer much as a warlord. Maybe he can do well as one in biel-tan where you get the guide warlord trait. Even more so I kind of hate limiting the far seer to inline action. I kuch prefer him in a bike or with relic wings so he can better land dooms, smites, and execution on the right targets. That's me though.

If you plan to bring any warlocks or autarch is make them the warlord. A warlocks with seer of the shifting vector gets his own reroll which is more useful than the far seer with one. (Seeing as how the far seer already has one built in). Then the autarch can use alot of cool aggressive warlord traits like singling out characters and such.

You know now that I think about it more. Of the far seer has a bike he can use swoftness.... or on foot use swiftness to again help get into range to use those power psykic abilities. I don't know if the swiftness stacks with the things though. Usually the order of buffs are mutiple>add> set. So the set might override swiftness.

Anywho those are my ramblings. Sorry I could be much help. Figured I wouldn't be but I saw no one replied. So I didn't want you to feel ignored ^.^

Farseer with Alaitoc Relic and Puritanical Leader + 20 Fearless Guardians is the strongest by far IMO.

Seer of Shifting Vector doesn’t let you reroll the damage roll for smite. You could use it to reroll one of the dice in your psychic test (as opposed to both when using Runes of the Farseer) to try to get that 11 or 12 result. Perils don’t scare people with +2 FNP

Personally I run the Seer WLT. Definitely comes in handy on a Farseer.

Runes allows the reroll of any number of dice, not mandates both. Seer of Shifting Vector is essentially a watered down command reroll for free.

Yes, tracking on the runes. Not even sure what you're getting at, seems like we're on the same page here.

EDIT- I am dumb. Now I am properly tracking.

The Seer says that you may re roll a failed psychic test, distinctly different from the runes of Farseer which allows you to re roll any number of dice for any psychic test.

This is covered in FAQ's I believe, if you reroll a test you must reroll the entire result (both dice).

Edit: The very first entry in Errata in fact.

This is a very good option.
I'd mount the Farseer on a jetbike for increased mobility. As a warlord, its important to bring her out of harm's way.

Honestly better to put an autarch in there instead of the farseer to give the guardians reroll 1's. Super powerful with shuriken weapons plus you get the 6+ CP reroll from the autarch too.

There's very few reasons why your warlord should be anything BUT an autarch, maybe a wraithseer with Mark of the Incomparable Hunter, but I don't see many else.
