Hello all!,

Recently I've dragged myself on to my second project of 2018 which is a AoS army, I've been looking, I like Deathrattle but rather hate the vampireic look to there units, then I found Tomb Kings and I was like, This is awesome! and this! and This!! but before I go digging into finding them, buying them, and such. A couple questions to you my forum experts. Are they still legal to play (I see they have a warscroll which removes named characters for generic versions). Are they worth play, are they good is what I guess I mean, cause they looked awesome to me but that maybe because I am new and unlearned of things of AoS.

Ps. I did search to see if there was a topic like this, while I found some talking about tomb kings nothing quite like what I posted so I hope thats ok, sorry if I was wrong.

They have points. In a casual stance, they are perfectly "legal".

If you are a tournament player, there are tournaments that disallow anything that is not in GHB 2017. Therefore from a tournament stance, there will be tournaments that disallow them.

Are they viable? They used to be very strong, then got nerfed. They are ok now. You can definitely do well with them but if you're looking for easy mode tournament power, they wouldn't make you happy.

I've had tomb kings for a very long time and love them, and would use mine today as well. With the news of the Legions of Nagash book being next that came out on warhammer community I'd say go for it for the models.

I was thinking worst comes to worst I could use models in place of other models, skellys as skellys, tomb guard as black guard, since it seems like there are translations and it even says the realm of death is varied in its look. I am not looking for a tourny powerhouse auto win faction, nah I am more a fun player and I go for flavor.

Then I think you'll have fun with tomb kings and can have fun hobbying to get them to fit more in the AOS aesthetic as well. I love my tomb kings.
