the Chimera preview has been posted.

https://www.fantasyflightgames.com/en/news/2018/1/8/chimaera/

most things involving the Chimera we already know. but we now know about the Gauntlet Fighter and their assault ability. i'm now of the opinion that there's yet an unknown way to remove raid tokens that'll be explained upon release.

the Seventh Fleet SD (which i find funny because all of my fleet builds draw their name from the 7th), 5pts for suffering damage on another ISD? i dunno how i feel about that at the moment.

I dont think the 7th Fleet SD card transfers Damage to another ISD, you just exhaust your 7th Fleet SD card on the other ISD to reduce damage.

sorry what i meant was having to have duplicate cards across the fleet on the Star Destroyers (so both ISD & VSD) may get costly at 5pts each but is only mitigating 1 point of damage from each. the cost/benefit maybe there, i dunno atm

You are talking 10-15pt to run a 7th fleet fleet, unless you decide to spam Gladiators. Being able to just block 1-2 damage per turn simply for flying in formation is actually really good.

Taskmaster Grint looks pretty good for when you just want to mash a certain command (such as engineering).

Gauntlet: like Jynn, this is going to really depend on how hard Raid tokens are to remove.

Cabbok has done his unboxing.

Raid tokens seem to be easy to get rid of. Chaff sounds interesting

Saw that last night. Raid tokens seem really reasonable. The fact that you can spend a token means that you can't render a Quasar useless with one shot, but at the same time they will be really inconvenient if you don't already have the exact token you need, or are applies repeatedly.

Strategic Adviser looks good. Means that you can get 4 "Activation's" out of a double ISD list (Kind of what I consider the minimum to be). Think I'd rather run a pair of these over Pryce, just for the flexibility.

i do like the idea of the Hardened Bulkheads. my ISD is goin' ramming...

with the Strategic Adviser, i'm willing to try a four v three ship build game and see how effective having three ships of mine activating last.

I like this stuff.

Aspiration: Wow. Being able to pump one of your sides and your front to 6 shields is great, especially since you only have one redirect anyways. Or even just one of your sides, leaving your rear shielded.

Ordnance Pods: Pretty Nice. Cheap anti-squadron is great, so this is definitely a card to look at if you have a free ordnance slot.

Bail Organa is interesting. Could be good, could be too expensive.Instead of an initiative bid, you grab him to get the best of both worlds on a key turn, which could be all you need.

Heavy Ion Emplacements: Interesting. More expensive than Assault Concussion Missiles, and better against a shielded target, but weaker against an unshielded on. Given a choice between the two, I'd probably choose missiles, but there are some ships which don't have access to them.

General Draven: Nice ability, but really needs a carrier along the lines of the Raider. C'mon, Dornean Gunship!
