Hi All

As the nights are still coming in early here in Blighty I was hoping someone could recommend a good quality led lamp to use for assembly and painting by.

I have had a browse of the tinterweb but must admit I am pretty clueless discerning one make being better or worse than another.

Cheers

It's not LED but I use a £20 Naturalight: daylight bulb and magnifying glass.

Not entirely sure what's available on your side of the pond. I've been happy with the TaoTronics lamps available on Amazon.

I prefer the ones where you can rotate the bar as well as move it up and down.

Im a big fan of Ott lite. They are geared toward arts and crafts, are pretty well priced, and give off a really good amount of illumination.

TaoTronics sounds too much like xenos heresy! I use a couple of these clipped on my desk. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001PIAP9C/ref=psdc_1063292_t4_B00I2S7MHQ

Google "Daylight yo yo magnifier" and get it off Amazon.

It is a foldable travel light and magnifier I have barely got my full size lamp out since I got it.

Your last point is especially laughable and comical, because not only the 7th ed Valkyrie shown dumber things (like being able to throw the troopers without parachutes out of its hatches, no harm done) - Irbis

You can get that at wallmart bro. It's a little small though.

This is the one I got - I think I got it for a little bit less on sale though. It has literally changed my life when it comes to lighting at my work bench. It's takes some time getting used to painting through a mag lens though but it's great once you get used to it. Most the time you don't need the Mag lense so it just functions as a great direct light source that you can move anywhere you want.
