working on several squads of plague marines, many of which are getting converted from dark imperium. I'd like to equip a few with bubonic axes, or possibly flails. Even the multipart kit only comes with 2 axes and 1 flail. Does anyone know a similar bit that's available in abundance? All the bits sites are sold out of axes, flails, blight launchers because those are obviously the parts in demand.

I have used a few flails from the Chaos Marauders from GW. You might have some luck with the bits from other Sigmar kits.

This here is that classic lesson in the rule of converting- never throw anything away.

The bits from my own DG have come from sources too numerous to name as they've been sourced from my bits box from years of collecting. Bubotic axes from Orks, Black Orcs, Wraiths (for scythe shaped ones) and even simply carved from plasticard.

Blight Launchers can easily be cobbled together from other bits. The Cadian Grenade Launcher is a good starting point. Add some plastic tubing and maybe some GS hoses and you're set.

Yeah as Grimtuff said blight launchers are easy enough. The Cadian grenade launcher is good and I've actually used leftover bits from the imperial vehicle sprue. Don't know exactly which sprue as I got them in a ebay bits order.

For axes I converted one using the Lord of Plagues axe head but you could also use the axe heads from the putrid blightkings box

AoS Orruk stuff works well. Savage Orruk Axes, Ironjawz weapons. They have that jagged silhouette that looks like it belongs with Nurgle. You can also scavenge from those other Chaos Marines...what were their names. Often have termie flairs? Oh yeah, Deathwing Knights.

I gave my Plague Marines the close combat weapons from the Putrid Blightkings kit. That kit is a veritable treasure trove of Nurgley bits for conversions and kit bashing. You get tons of swords and axes, along with bits that could easily be used to make unique Noxious Blightbringers, Plague Casters and other characters.
