I'm just getting back into 40k with some new kit bashes and was hoping for some advice on the community on Shrikes, I'm currently working on six. I've only gotten in one game of 8th so far and wasn't able to play them. So for anyone with any experience with shrikes, I was wondering:
Are they decent? Are they better suited for melee, shooting, or some middleground?
Any particular adaptations that are suited for them? Any they should avoid?
What have been your overall experience using them?
thanks in advance

If you want to build melee warriors shrikes are by far better. for a mere 6 ppm more they get an extra 6" M and the Fly keyword which can be invaluable to melee units with a high M attribute.
I used a unit of them as a surgical strike unit before the codex droped and I decided to go Jorm with no Fly units. I built them with bonesword, scytal, fleshhoks, and sometimes AG. But honestly with their high M it' not really needed most of the time.
These are my opinions. This is how I feel. Others may feel differently. This needs to be stated for some reason.
