Waaagh! Warbiker

Hey Dakka,
My Battlesuit army needs some chaff. Kroot hounds are quite capable cc units and good screens for 4ppm
However, I'm absolutely NOT going to pay 100€ for 20 of them. That's just bonkers. Does anyone know some nice 3rd party models which could represent Kroot Hounds?
I know Zealot Miniatures made some "spined hounds" but they're not doing those anymore it seems...

Thats exactly what I have done. Ghoul bodies with Kroot heads. They look very good, like Kroots in the middle evolutionary stage from normal Kroot to Kroot Hounds.

Dakka does have White Knights and is also rather infamous for it's Black Knights. A new edition brings out the passionate and not all of them are good at expressing themselves in written form. There have been plenty of hysterical responses from both sides so far. So we descend into pointless bickering with neither side listening to each other. So posting here becomes more masturbation than conversation.

Personally, I’ve been considering getting some gryph-hounds to use, but that’s still pretty expensive.
I cna’t think of a 3rd party vendor that does something similar, unless maybe you can find someone that does predator hounds in 28/32 mm.

As a player of Kroot since back when they had a Chapter Approved Merc codex, I have to say those Ghoul conversions are ace!!!

While I have a small stable of GW Kroot Hounds as a result of several Ebay bulk Kroot purchases (...What? I like Kroot.), I've also converted a few kroot into "hounds" by replacing the normal kroot arms with Genestealer Claws, using green stuff to smooth over the chitin plate ridges. They're taller than they should be, but my group seems to consider it close enough.

Don't forget GW Lord of the Rings Wild Wargs. $22 CAN for 6, as opposed to $30 CAN for 4 Kroot Hounds. Less than $4 CAN a warg, though they're probably out of stock, worth looking around for.
