Hey all, sorry if this is a dumb question but I'm not a SM player and neither was the guy I was playing against. Basically the rundown is we were playing relic, 30 ork boys grab the relic, and then charged a drop pod. Every turn the ork player also chose not to pile into the drop pod so that only a few boys were swinging on it per turn. In as far as we could tell from playing off of battlescribe, there's nothing that stops you from being locked in combat with a drop pod and thus the 30 boys with the relic were perfectly safe from shooting.

Seems right to me, but dirty. Looking for confirmation.

Perfectly acceptable and legal. Just another reason why drop pods are worse than useless.
