So, I tried a red metallic for my Thousand Sons army, but it is too light (looks almost pink). I also tried silver trim, but the color was too transparent as well (again, craft paint).

I'm going to have to strip and redo the whole army. I want a metallic red with some gold and some silver trim and white bolters, but I also want easy clean up if I make a mistake (which I unfortunately tend to do). I can get an airbrush, but, as I have no good space at my house, I would have the same limitations as using a spray can.

Can I get some advice on what colors I can use?
