I'm fairly new to 40k and have a very large amount of SW Pack sprues that haven't be created yet. I created a very simple list with a Stormfang, 2 Squads of Grey Hunters, and a Wolf Lord. I was told this list wasn't great.

Our local meta is starting a tournament this week at 500pnts.

I'd greatly appreciate some advice.

Did they tell you why the list was not great? The Stormfang will be a large point sink, I would recommend you turn it into a Stormwolf. You'll have similar firepower, lower cost, and can transport the Grey Hunters!

Grey Hunters are underestimated all the time but I have found them to be indispensable. Especially when playing Eternal War with objectives, always good to have troops!

For the Wolf Lord, it's usually best to stick him on a Thunderwolf but I suppose you could just stuff them all in the Stormwolf at 500 points and just try to alpha strike your opponent!

Hope that was somewhat helpful. Space Wolves are still an index army so we don't have a lot of the shenanigans a lot of other people have quite yet but Wolves are super thematic and fun!

Do NOT stick them all in a Flyer. If the only unit(s) on the table have the Flyer battlefield role, then you count as tabled.

Did this to an opponent at a tourney few weeks back: he had 3 Fire Raptors and one Storm Eagle, and then four 5-man tac squads and a Jump Pack Captain. Guess what I did T1???? Hint: I didn't shoot a single bullet at any of the flyers.

yes; if you're planning on deploying air cavalry style you will need to hide something on the board out of line of sight... maybe a lone wolf?

Are there any objective based rules? If so you only have 15 wounds on the ground with a (likely) poor armour save.

I'd swap the flyer for Bjorn. Or if you're mad just get a full set of characters.
